Barcampkerala 9 is my first barcamp as a management student. First of all a big thanks to our coordinators at Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham including Binu P. K. , Saranjith and Anish Chandran. Thanks for the superb venue with 4Mbps Wifi connection, hospitality, refreshments and the FREE lunch. College Bus Service to Oachira was a big help to many of us.
Barcampkerala 9 was blessed with mature, interactive audience and informative sessions. The unconference started with self intro followed by the first session by Binny V. A. on wordpress plugin development. The session was a very informative one with live development of POPINS plugin.

We saw widespread use of adwords campaigns by political parties during the last Lok sabha elections especially BJP’s ‘Determined leader Decisive Government Campaign’. This cyber war takes a different phase with the ruling Indian National Congress party and the main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) engaged in a bitter war over domain redirection of BJP.COM
The issue started when the domain bjp.com was redirected to congress’s official website. BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said that the party had sent a legal notice to the Congress over ?petty theft? of its online identity.

IIM’s are considered as the premier Business Schools in India. The admissions to IIM are on the basis of the Common Admission Test. Some other institutes like NIT’s also consider CAT scores for MBA admissions.

Making use of the insecurity feeling among the users created by the Bom Sabado worm some one is sending phishing emails to orkut users asking them to update their Orkut profile by clicking the link in the email. The attacker created the email with great care.It will appear in your inbox as received from Orkut Team.It is even having Orkut and google logos. If you receive the following email, dont click on the links in it. It is a phishing attack which will steal your password.
