1. Get a personal website. (yourname.com, yourname.me etc)
2. If you have decent writing skills (you dont need to be a shakesphere) start blogging under your domain
3. Get your personalized email id like sujith@sujithjohn.in ( crazy guys can have mail id’s like gmail@yourdomain.com)
now you are 75% complete in creating your brand. The final stage is establishing your brand..here comes social networks for your rescue…
4. Create accounts in social networking sites like orkut, facebook & twitter and be active there. Twitter is a very good platform to network with great people..

Ever since i first visited Trivandrum as part of a study tour from my school the statues here attracted me a lot.
It may be because of the fact that the first statue i saw then was the statue of Sri T.M. Varghese at Kesavadasapuram.(I studied in a School named after him). And now i am here in Trivandrum for the last 8 months and i was curious to know about the statues here.I discussed this curiosity with my friends here.
And one fine Sunday morning with the hangover of Google Mapping party, Kenney and me decided to explore the statues here. We went for a ride with our GPS enabled Mobile phones and we published a post in Trivandrumbuzz.
The post got great response from the readers and we were lucky to get covered by Indian Express.
I was fortunate to attend the google mapping party at Residency towers, Trivandrum today.
Actually this is one of the best thing i like about trivandrum. There will be atleast one great event every month. I came to know about the mapping party from my friend @AravindJose but it was very late and the registrations were closed by that time, I send a request mail to the organizers and they were kind enough to accept it
The event has already got more than enough media attention as Intelligence IG Mr.Sibi mathews IPS send a letter to the government asking not to allow mapping parties in the state.
As per the typical malayali nature i reached the venue 15 minutes late by 9:45 along with@kenneyjacob . there was an introduction to the mapping party addressing the government concerns by Mr. Satish one of the oganizer of the event. then we had a session by Ajith from google about the importance of maps and mapping.
By this time we noticed one interesting thing ” there were more media persons at the venue than the participants” and we started getting calls and tweets from friends saying that they saw us on the popular news channels yeah we become celebrities all of a sudden
There were officials from crimebranch as well who wanted to know what happening at the event. meanwhile kenney was questioned by some Special branch officers and he explained to them what is happening here in the event
The main session in the event was the session by Mr.CNR who is one of the main mappers in kerala. he led the session on google mapmaker. After a wonderful lunch we had a hands on session were we tried to add places on google maps using mapmaker.

The event concluded with the panel discussion. Mr. Anwar Sadath of IT mission and some renowned jurnalists were the panelists.

2009 was the year of Twitter. This microblogging site changed the way people using internet. But it was one of the popular websites which had no revenue model. There were many applications which work on twitter making profit but still twitter remained without any profits.
Some websites reported that twitter made profit in 2009 from the two big deals – one with Microsoft and the other with Google. Deal with Google made twitter $15million and a similar deal with MS generated them $10million. But there is no official confirmation from them yet.
But what i was telling is not twitter making profit
i made some money from twitter in 2009 yeah some real money.
There are many giveaways going on in twitter and i won one of them. There was a christmas giveaway from br.st a twitter client. They were giving a ninetendo wii every day and a Macbook pro on every friday from the 1stof december to the 25th of december. All i did is uploading a photo of the google internet bus which was in the city that time
On the 14th of december i got a direct message from br.st saying that i won the ninetendo wii for that day . They also said the shipping cost of ninetendo wii from the US is very high. So eventhough wii is an amazing gadget to won i preffered transferring its price to my paypal id
I should thank my friend @binoyxj who introduced this giveaway to me. He won many of the similar giveaways in twitter.
PS: any way the most interesting thing in twitter is not the giveaways. I had made a number of good friends from twitter
I checked the google analytics report of my blog today. I was shocked to see the keywords driving traffic to my blog.
Here is a snapshot of a small portion from that.
Almost all of these keywords including kochu katha and the mallu porn related keywords are leading to the post about malayali and google. It was a post dealing with the google search suggestions for every malayalam alphabet.
Hope some of you have tried photofunia and added those photos to your orkut and facebook albums. Today i came to see a site where you can create videos portraying you as a hero. Its very simple. You could create your video in three simple steps. Thanks to @kevinbabu who introduced this site to me
